Nader Kamal

HSE and Process Safety General Manager, Egyptian LNG

Nader Kamal is an HSE and Process Safety General Manager with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. Started his career in 1998 with WEPCO then moved to GASCO in 2000. In 2004, he joined Egyptian LNG as a Senior HSE Engineer in the engineering department and then established the QHSE department. In 2013 joined QCLNG, Australia as the Principal Process Safety Advisor in an assignment to support the commissioning, startup, and operations teams. In 2016 returned to ELNG to establish the Process Safety Department. In 2020, he was promoted to General Manager of HSE for ELNG in a new business model to support improving the performance of HSE & process safety.

He has double undergraduate majors: The first one is a BSc in Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry from Alexandria University, Egypt. The second one is Process & Chemical Engineering from Strathclyde University, UK. He has an MSc (Meng.) in Process Safety and Loss Prevention from Sheffield University, UK. He is currently a Graduate IOSH member in addition to being the first Egyptian to be a Professional Process Safety Engineer from IChemE, UK.
